CoinPig is a personal finance app provided by Semen Piliukov (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use CoinPig or contact us.

1. Information stored in CoinPig

CoinPig works without registering a user account. Financial records and app preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not receive your financial records through the app or upload them to a developer-operated server.

Depending on how you use the app, locally stored information includes:

The financial accounts you create in CoinPig are bookkeeping records. CoinPig does not connect to your bank, request banking credentials, or retrieve bank transactions automatically.

2. How information is used

CoinPig processes information on your device to display your records, calculate balances, generate reports, organize categories, remember preferences, and create or restore local backups.

The app does not include advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. It does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites or access your advertising identifier. We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

3. Backups and device storage

CoinPig can create local backups containing your financial records and selected preferences. Automatic backups are optional and are disabled by default.

You can manage backups in the app’s backup settings. The default retention setting is 30 days, with options of 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 days. Cleanup runs after a successful automatic backup and removes local backup files older than the selected period. This is not a guarantee that a file will be deleted on an exact date, especially if automatic backups are disabled or the app is not used.

CoinPig’s backup files use JSON format and do not have additional app-level encryption or password protection. Their protection depends on your device and its storage security.

Depending on your device settings, Apple’s iCloud Backup or a computer backup may also include CoinPig’s app data and local backup files. These system backups are separate from CoinPig’s local backup feature and are managed through Apple or your computer. We cannot access or delete those copies for you. See Apple’s explanation of iCloud Backup and Apple’s Privacy Policy.
